How familiar are you with True Blood (it is important to note that while some aspects of the books are appreciated, Amaranth follows the storyline of the television show first and foremost): I've seen a lot of the newer true blood episodes, and I have read a lot of the first book

Role Playing Sample: Not the greatest, but I'm trying dammit....
Bill entered the musty, run-down diner outside of Bon Temppes, hoping to get some synthetic blood for a nightly meal away from Sookie. He ordered hastily, scanning the bar for any fellow vampires. He, of course, didn't see any of his brethren in the bar, but he noticed a few men looking towards him. Squinty eyes, angry faces, disgusted looks, all pointed at him. He knew they discriminated against his kind, but they both knew who would win in a fight, one-on-one.
He turned from them, and took a drink of his newly served beverage. Taking a sip, he could taste how badly it was, then again, all synthetic blood tasted that way to vampires, but it was a supplement to simply draining some poor soul.
He took another sip of his beverage, disgusting as it may be, when suddenly he was jerked back by a chain of some sort. He hissed as the chain began to burn away at his ancient skin, realizing that the chain's were silver. He knew that he needed to do something soon, before his assailant got more of the silver around his body. He turned his torso and head towards the attacker. It was the men who had been giving him angry looks earlier. He hissed at them, fangs fully extended, seeing the fear in the the men's eyes as they tried to desperately come at him with a needle, intent on draining him of his vampire blood. He quickly slammed his fist into the man holding the chain, hearing the satisfying crunch of his nose cracking as his friends watched the blood flow from the wound. He quickly pulled the chain from around his neck, hands singed under the tavern light's, he turned and fled from the bar, deciding against killing them all.
