"Go away, go away, you're not real," she whispered to herself as she cowered under the blankets of her bed. Her hands were shaking and her body trembling. This was the fourth night Calleigh had been awoken to her nightmares only to find her closet door hinged open. A closet door she had shut tightly the evening before. Her bed shifted and she swore she could hear a low growl emerge from under her bed and she let out a ear piercing scream to wake her parent's. "One more time" her father warned the seventeen year old girl, shaken his large fat finger in her face. "grow up; nothing is under your bed. Stop watching those tales from the crypt at night. Haven't you learned that those creatures don't exist, they are make believe?" They did exist and not only in her head. Calleigh knew something was wrong with the town when she moved in. Splendid falls was far from splendid. It was a town where your nightmares came true.

Splendid falls Kansas. A town where nightmares really do come true. A place where ghouls and goblins lurk in your closets and under your beds. A town with more Vampires and shifters then humans and where witches really do boil little children in cauldrons for an evening meal. That is not what their brochure says though. Pictured on the front cover to the newest Kansas city community is of blue skies, happy families spending time with their children. Crime rates are low, Education is the top in the state and the community offers every amenity a busy family could ever want or need.

So why is it that the small rural neighborhood seems empty? Where are those happy families? The only ones ever spotted anymore seem like Zombies, their faces pale and hollow as dark bags form under their eyes. They know the truth, they know that their town is anything but normal. Here their nightmares come true.

Hush now, child, don't say a word, just close your eyes and go to sleep. With the morning light pray you wake.
